Protected by a harmonious environment, Jim Corbett Park is located in the foothills of Kumaon, a very wide valley where they roam the river's strong currents Ramganga. Filled with a variety of flora and fauna, is famous for its wild population of tigers, leopards and elephants. Corbett National Park was established in 1936, named Hailey National Park. Tigre
The Jim Corbett National Park is the most populous in India with a rate of one tiger for every 5 acres. Ravines and dense forests are the perfect habitat for tigers. Herds of deer, particularly the sambar (the Indian variety of deer) and enough food. Although the tiger is a solitary animal, it is fairly easy to predict their movements.
The Asian elephant
The smell of newly vegetation tread and the sound of breaking leaves are warning signs. It is a great experience of fear while seeing elephants in the forest. Corbett Park is the best place in northern India to look at them very closely. About 300 to 350 Asian elephants roam the park in herds on the banks of the river Ramganga or feeding on the grasslands.
A paradise for bird lovers, this park has a rich diversity of life, is home to over 600 species of birds, almost half the total number of species found in India. You can see owls, parakeets, orioles, bees, birds, flycatchers, mosquito nets, robins, kingfishers, and many more. It is also one of the best places in the world to observe birds of prey.
Environment protected: The protected environment of Corbett Park has managed to preserve a rare species like the pig that was close to extinction. Lately, there has been a notable increase in their number.
Corbett is the only place where the pangolin. It would be extremely lucky if you had the chance to see it. It is very common to see the crocodile unicorn Ramganga riverside. Many species found on the white list of the world are generated here with ease in Corbett's rich biodiversity.
Safari
You can take a safari (a trip over the elephant) that begins at dawn with a licensed guide. It is also possible to travel by jeep through Tourist Center. While the jeep penetrates deeper than the elephant in the forest, you can not approach the animals as well as elephants.
