Perhaps the fatigue of long hours of travel or perhaps that first impression of Delhi, The fact is that the Taj Palace hotel in Delhi seemed like a mirage in the middle of a desert. A splendid luxury hotel located next to a lush forest, they consider their lungs.
The Taj Palace Hotel Delhi clearly is a business hotel, for businessmen and conventions, as we suggest it is often chosen when there is some kind of special corporate events. The front of the building we get to a particular path for vehicles to be introduced under the portico of the hotel in order to leave us at the gates. In gold letters above our heads, the sign of Taj Convention Center.
The hotel has 8 floors that are distributed in L and left amid a garden with a magnificent pool. At the outset we get the doorman decked with typical Indian clothes and that reminded me Sandokan. In fact, I thought it lacked only lead to curved Gurkha sword belt.
The entry into her hotel just across the doors was spectacular; a mosaic of luxury with marble floors shiny chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and walls covered all over with gold and tapestries.
The rooms are very comprehensive, but the best is the bathroom, also with gold and marble. They do not lack detail, this is true: television, minibar, air-conditioning, toiletries, and a king size bed, very large.
Among the restaurants I will highlight two:
- Ishtana: There I could enjoy my first dinner in India. The atmosphere is very cozy, warm lights, with a band playing traditional music at a rate India but environmental, and located next to the garden and swimming pool, illuminated at night. The buffet is excellent and very thorough.
- Orient Express: Its name or says it all. Just looked out, but the truth is that is spectacular as the decor is as if it were a legendary coach of the train. The form is an old train station, and there are these cars turn of the century in which you eat in peace.
Indeed, the hotel also has tennis courts, fitness room and even a golf course with 9 holes.
The price for a superior double room is of 9,600 Indian rupees per night (about 125 euros).
