Mani Bhavan is a simple and charming museum set in the house where he lived Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, between 1917 and 1934 and where he was arrested on January 4, 1932. We are in the street LaburnamIn the quiet neighborhood of Gamdevi, in a simple two-story house that is currently Museum and Research Center. It is one of the few places dedicated to Gandhi as closely related to it.
The house belonged to Shri Revashankar Jagjeevan Jhaveri, a friend Gandhi and its host during that period, and here in this little corner of Mumbai, was born the giant movement that changed the history of India.

Here you can visit the Library, Which houses about 50,000 books and periodicals, with works by and about Gandhi, his thoughts, movements, freedom and related issues. The Library is open weekdays, 9:30 to 18 Saturdays, from 9.30 to 14pm.
The museum has a auditorium on the first floor where you exhibit films Gandhi and you can hear recordings of his speeches. Here we have meetings, seminars, debates and various competitions for school and college students.
Gandhi Hall: It is a room on the second floor, formerly the living room and Gandhi workplace where possible preserved in its original configuration.
Exhibition of mini figures from Gandhi: It is next to the room, are twenty-eight small format paintings of the artist-Sushila Gokhale Patel.
Photo Gallery: The house walls are lit by a gallery of images showing moments of Gandhi's life at home and important events, there are posters with facsimiles of letters, articles and writings by and about Gandhi. There are some replicas of models from their place of birth and the cell it occupied.
The Terrace: A bronze plaque with an inscription marks the spot where Gandhi was arrested in January 1932 here liked to pray and sleep.
