Almost all road trips made by India and include Jaipur, have the joint visit to Gaitor and Rambagh Palace. And my experience, I recommend strongly that, even if they come included, recruited especially to see this wonder of the temple which is Gaitor, pure art in marble.

This temple is located about 8 kms. The center of Jaipur , Man Sagar lake front, and contains the cenotaphs of the royal family of Jaipur Sawai Jai Singh II and descendants. Existing memorials in the form of covered arcades on a platform around the complex mark those places where they were incinerated members of the royal family. The year was 1733 when the king chose Gaitor as resting place for their souls for all eternity.

Although in general the set is spectacular, the fact is that each has his own particular cenotaph, and wrought more or less rich in terms of social position of the member. Without a doubt, and how could it be otherwise, the most beautiful and spectacular is the own Jai Singh II , made entirely in gleaming white marble, with twenty spectacular richly carved columns and walls are rendered scenes Hindu mythology .

The cenotaph of Madho Singh I, son of Jai Singh II, is also one of the richest, but it is built in white marble and pink in its upper part has a small pavilion.

This could go away describiéndoos each cenotaph dedicated to each of the members of the royal family. However, it is sufficient to know that all is of extreme simplicity, but of absolute beauty. Is pure white, a symbol of purity, is the brightness that radiates, is the peace that emanates from his stone...

For me in particular, left me surprised and overwhelmed, perhaps by the same spirituality that permeates this large open space on the outskirts of Jaipur.
