Sheth Hatheesing was a successful merchant who gave his name to a large number of Jain temples which he built in various parts of India. Of these, the most famous is near the city of Ahmedabad , the state of Gujarat. It was built in 1850, just outside the Delhi Gate.
This devotee of Jainism ordered to build a large temple there, generously decorated with numerous engravings of intricate figures. All of it was carved in white marble pure, and contains within it a sculpture of a marble tirthankara, i.e. a human being who attained enlightenment.
This piece is older than the temple was dated at about the fifteenth century. The building also has numerous cloisters with a total of 52 chapels. Each also keeps a picture of a tirthankara copy of the oldest.
The building has two floors, with beautiful porches on three sides and a facade that stands out for its magnificent dome. This is a church designed by Premchand Salat specifically devoted to Dharmanath. Jain was the apostle Dharmanath number fifteen.
